It's been a while

I almost gave up on this blog because I haven’t had time to update it but what I have come to realize is I actually like writing and sharing my thoughts so even if I can’t do it as frequently as I would like, having the option is better than not. It's a bit therapeutic and I feel like with other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter...I don't really get to express myself the same way.

This has already been a full year and we are only in the month of May! Crazy...time is flying by.

Let’s see...a quick update on what’s going on in my world: Our house is getting built (it’s taken forever and has been a lot of work but it’s finally happening). Work is always interesting and keeping me busy. Mothering keeps me on my toes, Addie is so smart and amazing and I really cherish our moments together. I finished my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training cert and can now teach if I wish. And of course running and training have been a positive escape....I am happy to be healthy and strong and I’m excited for what lies ahead with my race season.

Other fun info, we have decided to buy a RV and will live out of that until our house is complete. We are so sick of our apartment and we think it will be fun to move up to our property as soon as possible! Plus, for the next several months we’ll be able to drive our house on some fun adventures :)

We have several trips planned for the summer. Two are this month, we are headed back to Phoenix (today actually) to spend time with our friends and to do a little hike in the Grand Canyon. Our next trip is at the end of the month when we head to Rosarito, Mexico to do a bit of surfing. The other two trips are later in the summer and are “race-cations”. In June we head back to Squaw Valley for the Broken Arrow Skyrace 52km and the other is in August for the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc CCC (Courmayeur - Champex - Chamonix) which is a 101km beginning in Courmayeur and ending in Chamonix. Both races are important to me but you all know I have a very special place in my heart for the UTMB races. THEY are INCREDIBLE! I can’t wait to be back in Chamonix Valley :) my heart feels so full just thinking about it! I’d like to hear who else will be there? If you’re reading this and will be there for UTMB week, let me know :)

Well, I will try and update this a little more frequently. I hope everyone is doing well and living life!
