Preparing for our next BIG ultra and by big, I mean the one we are running in the country-side of Mont-Blanc, Beaufort, Tarentaise and Aosta valley come August. And by running the country-side I mean, up and over. It is going to the most challenging race for me to date. We have really only ran two ultra-marathons so to jump right into UTMB - TDS is a little intimidating. I hope I can do it. I feel like I haven't trained as much lately, seems like work and life get in the way. Next weekend we are running the Luxembourg ING marathon which is a night marathon, we are using that race as a training run and the weekend after, May 26th we are running the K-UT 85Km. That too will help with training...but it seems no matter what we do this time, we will not be prepared for the greatness of the French Alps. The race calls for multiple climbs over 2100 meters, see the profile here: http://www.ultratrailmb.com/page/22/TDS.html
Anyway, this is the next big thing, I'll keep positive and run strong.
Run!
